We lost Big Pete one year ago. This memorial has been placed by the entrance to the Rugby Pitch.

The next time you go to a MSU Rugby match you will see a new banner, WELCOME TO PETERSEN PITCH - HOME OF MSU RUGBY. This is the official /unofficial new name for the rugby pitch. This has been a long time coming. The new banner is to honor Dr. James "Big Pete" Petersen for a lifetime of dedication as a player, coach, advisor, and driving force for Rugby at MSU. Please go to the NEWS TAB for the story behind PETERSEN PITCH.
